More than 150 people at Chillicothe High School plan to say nothing Friday in recognition of the National Day of Silence. The majority of the plans for Diversity week were approved on 7/28/08 by Mr. Payne. I spoke to him and the only changes he wanted to make was we wont be having an assembly during school on that friday. We will have an event in the evening open to the community where each group will probably have close to half an hour to fill instead of ten minutes.

...or atleast, thats what I think. I think a lot of people would agree. CHS is seeing the GSA as a 'gay' club. I think the FIRST bad move is rainbows on the signs. Rainbows are automatically seen as 'gay'. We need to draw in just as many strait people as gay. The point of this is to get strait and gay people together. To tear down the wall between them.

Thats just my opinion, though...

Tee Shirts and Bracelets

I think it is important for us to order tee-shirts this year for our GSA. If we want to we can just order Day of Silence Tee-Shirts and have Chillicothe GSA put on them for personalization. We can allow people to order them during lunch about 2 months before the Day of Silence. That way we have a more central dress for the event. Though the main dress will still be black.
